It's Happy Birthday, but it's got its own twist. What a great concept fadeshadow had. You should extend this with some more shred solos. Make it epic.

I'll give a general review since I'm not sure what you did on this. Guitar? Beat? Singing?

Production: The guitar sounds too crisp, clean, and trebly against the more bassier vocals.

Other than that I like the song.

I'm the same age as you, and I grew up listening to rap when it was hardly listened to by whities; before it was gangsta... well right as NWA came on the scene. Back then Ice-T was on a mission to unify the gangs of east and west L.A. Then I flipped into heavy metal. Then came what was called the wiggers. I'm sure you remember those days. I was junior/senior in highschool during the change.

Anyways, good enough to download and give a good rating.

-1 point for production. -1 point for general feeling about song.

Love the riff at the 1:20-1:35 mark; although, I love all the riffs in this song!

This song IS F-in heavy. HEAVY! (If I could write the word in a larger font I would!)

Everything sounds balanced nicely.

This song is a jam. Man, I'd like to hear vocals to it.

The bass guitar winds nicely through.

Definitely downloading it.

HEAVY!! What a beautiful tune. What a beautiful tune. Guys finish it! Parade it around with banners and flags. One of the best tunes I've heard in awhile.

I'll be disappointed until I hear the final product, but I'll still slap a 10 on it. Newgrounds.com will have to allow an 11 score for this one once complete.

Beautiful piece of work

The snare hit sounds a bit too loud. Maybe 1 - 1.5 db.

The bass guitar on this is exactly how I like to hear bass. It just winds in and out like a snake. Or a dragon's tail whipping around.

The guitar sounds killer and heavy and smooth.

Ok. Enough. Get some vocals to it already! This song will be a 10 as long as the vox hold up.

I'm going to keep my rating as a 9 to allow room for vocals and drum re-equalization to push it up a notch

Ok. I must admit I've never been able to hear a bass line by itself and imagine how guitar would sound with it. So it's hard for me to judge it. Just sounds like a bunch of notes to me; like a bunch of scattered puzzle pieces. But I can respect the effort and ability behind your work.

I did like how the bass line cut out at the 2:05 mark. You didn't emphasize the cut out, but just let it happen, like slipping on ice and off the edge of a cliff... just whoops it's over.

I'm not sure of how I felt about the change after the 2:05 mark. I'd have to hear it with guitar.

Thanks dude, I appreciate it. I guess it would be hard for another musician to see how a bass line could form a song, glad this one was a little more obvious. In retrospect, I'm not all that satisfied with this recording. I changed timing halfway through the song, which was not a good idea to me. Also, Eternalreich and I are gonna be crushing this one pretty soon. The riffs will probably stay true to form, unless it conflicts with the time thing. We'll figure it out soon enough. Thanks again for the helpful advice, keep it metal dude.

Matt. Very nice job. Very intense. I do hear layers. I hear an acoustic guitar and some electric solos scattered throughout the piece. I might attempt it, but considering how much time I have to dedicate to it. I'll mess around with it here and there and email you if any solid ideas come up.

I'll rate it for what it is, but allow some room for the finished piece.

nice song/work on production

Double bass rocks. The snare could use a bit more treble to it (or something). I'm not hearing very much in cymbal work which I think takes a bit away from the song. The cymbals also have to be brought up a bit.

The guitar riffs are solid. I think the guitar has an interesting quality to it I like. But it needs to be balanced by a second guitar tone, with a more bassier sound.

The bass guitar needs to be brought down in volume a bit. It's the loudest instrument happening.

Dig the vox.

Don't dig the keyboards. I think they can be removed.

Once the instruments are layered correctly I think you'd have a very respectable tune.

I'll minus a point for the production quality and a point for the keyboards.

Fair enough. Very right on criticism. OK, so, I just redid the bass, added and repeated some riffs, and removed the keyboard. So I'm on the same page with ya man. Yeah, Bad-Man-Incorporated did the guitars and vox, and I love what he's done. His guitars were minus one layer, that he's gonna put on the updated version. I also agree with the bass volume. It drowns too much stuff out. So, I'll get back to you once we post the next take. Thanks dude, I appreciate it. Metal,
